Creating Playdough Habitats

During our project learning all about reptiles, amphibians and pond life, we have been interested in learning about where these creatures live. On Tuesday morning, Jayne put playdough and trees and rocks, as well as frogs, toads, turtles and snakes on a table to provoke the children's interest in building habitats.

Throughout the process, we added shells and small sticks and the children continued to create habitats and to extend their play by making eggs, trees and snails with real shells.
